Published by Jonathan Cape [hardback and Vintage [Paperback,  234 pages, £9.99 paperback

I have read one of the other books by David but this one certainly hits the mark. Even if you are not into bees you must be into the planet and this book certainly takes you on the travels around the world. It is about [too often] man messing up the world and why bees are often not given the respect they need and that is not just about honey bees but the dear old bumblebee. Even the bumblebee can add 5% to a crop where the honeys cannot without their help. There are birds, wasps, dung beetles, mammals and some amazing landscapes all written about and his inspiration is a must to stimulate others to get this world heading in the right direction.

    A must read.
