Raptors of Mexico and Central America by William S Clark & N John Schmitt

Published by Princeton Hard back 304 pages Price £32.95

This covers an area in America which seems to have an increase in species using it with 69 birds of prey covered first in art work from John Schmitt followed by 100s of glorious coloured photos in each species own chapter. Migration dictates that North American species will pass through this area but also southern species seem to be moving north to take up new territory.. Each chapter has species which are similar to the one described and a map to indicate range. At least 30 of the 69 species covered can be seen in the USA making the book useful for birders that side of the border all so and no doubt if rare migrant raptors move north into the USA.
